Cremation Services

Cremation Services

With roots in Winnebago and Outagamie Counties that stretch back to 1898, it’s no wonder Wichmann-Fargo Funeral Homes & Crematories is the preferred funeral home for families who choose cremation. Since we own two on-site, private crematories operated by licensed funeral directors who are also certified crematory operators, you can know your loved one will be treated with dignity and respect. And they will never leave the care of our professional, reliable team.

Some people mistakenly believe that when you choose cremation, your options are somehow more limited. But with us, that is never the case. Nearly all our options are available to you with cremation, including a highly personalized funeral or reception.

READY TO PLAN A CREMATION SERVICE

Talk to a funeral director

While many families choose to keep their loved one with them always in an urn or keepsake, we can help you arrange for burial or placement in one of the many lovely cemeteries in Appleton, Kimberly, or beyond. If you would like to scatter your loved one’s cremated remains in a meaningful place, seek us out for help navigating local laws and regulations.

TRADITIONAL SERVICE

Many families find meaning and beauty in a traditional funeral service. With a traditional service combined with cremation, you can still choose to have a visitation and/or funeral service with your loved one in a casket. However, instead of in-ground burial, the funeral will be followed by cremation.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

The memorial service or celebration of life can be held in our chapel, a church, or any other venue your family chooses. We will work with your family and clergy to design a service that honors your loved one, truly celebrating his/her life. Our funeral home chapels have a piano available, as well as cameras for webcasting the service.

GRAVSIDE SERVICE

A graveside service is held at the cemetery. We have a tent, chairs, artificial grass, speaker podium, bottled water, tables and a PA system (microphone and speaker) available. When the memorial service is at the funeral home chapel or a church, we will typically go in procession to the cemetery, where a committal service is held.
