After graduating she taught multiple grades in a one-room schoolhouse in the Town of Clayton. After her first child, Linda, was born, she spent the rest of her life as a homemaker.

She married Lawrence Dennee on December 5, 1959. They enjoyed spending time attending concerts and sporting events of their children and grandchildren. They also enjoyed time gardening, cooking/baking and going to church. She loved to sew and remained active making lap blankets for veterans, and quilt tops and children’s jackets that were distributed around the world through Lutheran World Relief.

She is survived by three children Linda (Tom) Neumann, Peter (Eliza) Dennee, and Bill Dennee; two grandchildren Isaiah (Kyra) Dennee and Brady Neumann; one sister Darlene Johnson, one brother Ewalt (Joan) Wollerman, one sister-in-law Bette (Mert) Cooney; one brother-in-law Daniel (Judy) Dennee; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
