October 20, 1961 — October 20, 2025

William E. Kahl

Bill passed away at home unexpectedly on October 20th, 2025 from heart-related issues. He was born in Waupun, WI to Arnold and Joanne (Shepro) Kahl on October 20th, 1961. He was a beloved husband to Sandy (Krueger) Kahl, and they had just recently celebrated 35 years of marriage. He was so proud of his kids, Jenny (Benjamin) Patri and Andy Kahl. His granddaughters, Julia and Rosalie Patri, were his pride and joy. Bill was always eager to lend a helping hand, and always looking for ways he could make things nice for his family.

Everyone who knew Bill knew how much he loved the beauty of the West and the mountains. Each summer when the kids were young, he took his family on a road trip to visit different national parks. His favorite places of all were Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. As soon as each trip ended, he'd immediately start planning ideas for the next one, and all year long he'd look forward to returning to the mountains. Many fond memories were made on those trips.

Having worked in banking his entire career, Bill took great pride in helping countless people become homeowners. He retired in 2020. Because of his early retirement, he was blessed with more time spent with his family, especially in his new role as grandpa to Julia and Rosalie. Those girls were his world!

Bill was a lifelong Packers fan, and never missed watching a game with Andy. He often recalled fun memories from his youth of hunting and fishing with his dad and his dog, Sally, near his grandparents' farm by Little Green Lake. In later years, a loveable yellow lab named Abby joined the family and was always at Bill's side. He graduated from Ripon College in 1984, where he played football as an all-conference offensive lineman and was a member of the 1982 Midwest Conference Championship team.

He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as Sandy's parents, William and Corinne Krueger. As per Bill's wishes, no formal service will be held. A graveside prayer service will be held in the future.

We love you and miss you. We wish we had more time together. Until we see each each other again...Love, Sandy
