WEGENER, WILLIAM C.

William “Bill” C. Wegener, 63 of Appleton passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at home with his wife by his side. Bill was born on November 14, 1945 in Green Bay to the late William and Violet (Hoppe) Wegener. On March 21, 1964 Bill married Linda Lenz in Neenah. He was employed by Central Paper and then IPG as a scheduler for 42 years until he retired. Bill was active in the Boys and Girls Brigade, the Appleton YMCA and as a soccer coach, but his true passion was fly fishing and the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his wife Linda, one son William E. Wegener of Sherwood, one sister Susan (Gale) Ruskosky of Florida: sisters-in-law: Lorraine Jahnke and Judy (Darrell) Roblee; brother-in-law, John (Ann) Lenz; and nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Bill was also preceded in Death by his daughter Angela.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the WICHMANN TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida Street, Menasha with Pastor Kurt Kovanen officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the Theda Care at home hospice, Appleton Medical Center and a special friend Colleen Pawlowski.
