Wendell Gabriel Hanke

Wendell Hanke, 83, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Brewster Village. He was born on December 13, 1940, Stockbridge, Wisconsin, the son of Raymond and Bertha (Ritzke) Hanke. Wendell enjoyed listening to country music, especially Johnny Cash and Porter Wagner. He loved reading and reciting poetry. Wendell will be remembered for his resilience and strength; and his fondness of grape chewing tobacco.

Wendell was preceeded in death by his parents, Raymond and Bertha Hanke.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the Brewster Village Chapel, 3300 W. Brewster St., Appleton WI 54914, with Father Jim from St. Pius officiating.
