Wayne W. Batley

Wayne Wilbur Batley, 83, entered the kingdom of heaven with his family by his side on January 31^st, 2021, 10:30 pm at Thedacare Regional Hospital, Appleton Wisconsin. He was born July 31st, 1937 to Warren & Anita Batley, Appleton, WI.

He graduated from Appleton High School in 1955 and married his high school sweetheart Vonda Myse on June 17th, 1961. He attended The University of Wisconsin Madison and went on to work at Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, WI.  Wayne had so many wonderful stories and talked fondly about all whom he worked with.

Wayne loved to be up north! Fishing, trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends on the deck was his passion. Projects were his life, and whether he was completing them or giving orders to the boys, he always had a to-do list. He loved his grandkids, and they were his heart and soul.

Wayne is survived by his sons, Brian, Kai & Kyra, Paul (Becky), Madeline & Jacklyn Batley, Craig (Amy), Gavin, Lauren, Conner, Ava Batley & Daughter-in-Law Jill Batley, Emily, Anna & Isabel. His Brother-in-law: Marty (Judy) Myse. His Sister-in-law: Jill (Larry) Gierach.

Preceded him in death were his parents, his wife Vonda, son Keith and sister Elayne Schreiber.

Due to current health concerns, the family will hold a private memorial service for Wayne and Vonda on March 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.  This service will be livestreamed at Wayne and Vonda’s obituary pages at www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com.
