Age 82, much loved father, passed away at Grand Horizons in Kimberly on Monday, July 19, 2010, with his family at his side. He was born in Pierre, SD on November 10, 1927, the son of the late Joseph and Ella (Johnson) Hansen. On December 1, 1948 he married his wife of 55 years, Joanne Shockley. She preceded him in death in 2004. Wayne managed numerous J.C. Penney stores throughout the Midwest for 48 years. He was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corp. He will be remembered for his love of golf, old cars, his sense of humor, and enduring love for his wife and family.

Wayne is survived by his children: Vicki Floden of Story City, IA, Chris (Larry) Classen of Madison, Mary Hansen of Appleton, and Dave (Lisa) Hansen of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Stephanie (Juraj) Siska and Erik W. Hansen Pokki; and great-grandchildren: Jakub, Helena, Julia, and David Siska.

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Wichmann Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton, immediately following the service.

The family extends their gratitude to the wonderful caregivers that loved and took extra special care of our Dad.
