MOLDA, WALTER P. “WALLY”

Walter Molda, of Appleton, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on June 5, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Molda. Wally graduated from Illinois Technical College. On April 13, 1972 he married Geraldine Brewster at St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks. He was employed at the Institute of Paper Chemistry and in 1947 was the Quality Control Supervisor at Thilmany Pulp and Paper. Walter's last employer was Akrosil where he finished his career as the Technical Director.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years: Geraldine “Geri” Molda; sisters-in-law: Florence and Margaret Brewster, both of Kaukauna; brothers-in-law: Francis Brewster, Colorado Springs, CO and James (Dolores) Brewster, Piedmont, CA and a dear niece: Sue Bergeron, Kaukauna. Walter is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Mary (Joseph) Bergeron, brother-in-law Bob (Mary Ellen) Brewster and nephew Bob Bergeron.

The funeral liturgy for Walter will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald Street, Appleton. Fathers Gerald Falk and Bob Vandenberg will be officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. The visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of mass.
