Age 91, died suddenly at Oneida Heights on Thursday, September 6, 2001. Walter was born to the late Wencaslas and Hattie Knapowski (Zelinski) in 1910. In 1949 Walter married Genevieve Darinski who preceded him in death in 1986. Walter served in World War II as a member of the Army Air Corp. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
