MUELLER, VIVA JEAN “VI”
Viva Mueller, age 75, of Menasha, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Oakridge Gardens with her family at her side. She was born on July 3, 1935 in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late James and Esther (Leffin) Oppeneer. On December 5, 1953, she married Frank Mueller in Sheboygan. Vi was a charter member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She was the office manager at Pinkertons Security and retired from Kimberly Clark. Vi was past president of the Appleton Area Jaycettes. She enjoyed photography, reading, playing cards and her bridge clubs. Swimming, watersports and golf were a few of her passions. Vi loved to be around animals, especially dogs.
She is survived by her husband: Frank Mueller, Menasha; five children: Toni (John) Schnorr, Cedarburg; Pam (Jerry) Wirth, Waunakee; Roy (Connie) Mueller, Appleton; Fran Collins, Washington Township, Michigan and Jacob Mueller, Middleton; twelve grandchildren: Andy and David Schnorr; Amy and Trevor Wirth; Kristi, Bryan and Michael Mueller; Christine and Michelle Altermatt, Taylor Collins; Alicia (Mike) Vande Ven and Katie Hurley; brother: Richard (Julie) Oppeneer, Sheboygan Falls and her sister: Diane (Carl) Weber, Sheboygan. Vi is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Viva Jean will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 9, 2011 at PRINCE OF PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2330 E. Calumet Street, Appleton. Rev. Roger McQuistion and Rev. Gary Nokleberg will be officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Parkinson Association are appreciated.
