Viola L. Wagner, age 93, of Neenah, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Vallhaven Care Center. She was born on June 28, 1919, in Omro, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Edward “Jake” and Emma (Totz) Smith. On February 3, 1940, Viola married Frank Wagner in Oshkosh. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling and playing cards. Viola was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Brewers. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.
Viola is survived by her children: David Wagner of Green Bay and Patricia (Rod) Fisk of Neenah; six grandchildren: Derrick (Lynn Ann) Wagner of Portland, Oregon; Andrew Wagner of California and Daniel (Kathy) Wagner of Phoenix, Arizona; Grant (Heather) Fisk, Adam (special friend Ashley Dallman) Fisk, and Jessica Fisk, all of Neenah; great grandchildren: Dylan Wagner; Megan Wagner; sisters-in-law: Lenora Jorgensen of Appleton; Myrtle Angle of Berlin; and Anita Nimmer of Van Dyne and brother-in-law: William (Irene) Wagner of Spooner. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wagner; son, James Wagner; granddaughter, Megan Wagner; and her sister, Rose Marie Smith.
The memorial service for Viola will be held at 3:00 pm on October 1, 2012 at Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel. Rev. Ted Gulhaugen will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
