Victor Carl Loberger

Victor (Vic) C Loberger, 83, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023.  He was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on October 1, 1939 to the late Jerome and Laura (Appel) Loberger.  Vic was married to Evelyn (Ev) Loberger on September 26, 1959, and they were married for 60 years.  They lived in Appleton, WI where they raised their three children.  Vic was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  The most important things to Vic were his family and friends.    

Vic worked at Elm Tree Bakery, Foremost Dairy and retired from Neenah Foundry. 

Vic was a social butterfly with a great sense of humor and always made everyone feel welcome and offer you something to eat or drink. He loved family get togethers and parties, especially playing 31 card games, 4 5 6 dice games, and hosting packer parties with family and friends.  They enjoyed camping at various campgrounds and later got a seasonal site at Chute Pond County Park for 40 years where he enjoyed fishing, boat rides, snowmobiling, hanging out on the dock, sandbar, and slippery rock swimming, or tubing down the river with friends.  He loved participating in theme parties and games and end of summer corn roasts, chicken booyah, and chili dumps and just hanging out around the campfire.  One of his favorite places was going for broasted chicken dinner on Saturdays at Doze Inn.  He enjoyed going for rides on his moped to the thrift store to find deals on treasures. They also enjoyed going on bus tours to many destinations.

Vic is survived by his sons Dan (Marge) Loberger, Terry (Brenda) Loberger; daughter Kris King as well as three grandchildren; Elizabeth Heisel, Gus King, Whitney (Jake) Schnese and three great-grandchildren; Macie Heisel, Makayla Heisel, Lexie Heisel.  In addition, he is survived by three siblings; Betty (Ralph) Koehnke, Jerry (Sue) Loberger, Judy (Steve) Rutten and sisters-in-law; Carol Valeri and Diane Donnermeyer, and many nieces and nephews

Vic was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, his parents and his brothers-in-law; Roger Blaese, Jack Donnermeyer, Mike Valeri, James Cummings, Marvin Cummings, and Jerald Cummings.

A celebration of Vic's life will be officiated on February 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, WI 54911 by Kevin Kelly of Christ the Rock Community Church.  Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service
