Victor Berndt Sr.

Victor “Butch” Berndt Sr., 66, passed away on Wednesday, Sept 2, 2009 at the Theda Clark Medical Center where he gave the gift of life by donating of himself. Victor was born on November 30, 1942 to Bernard and Flora (Molinski) Berndt in Oshkosh. He married Marilyn Schmitz on July 3, 1961 in Appleton. Vic enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his primary love was playing golf. Vic loved to play cards and cribbage with his friends. He worked as a machinist at Giddings and Lewis in Kaukauna for 23 years and Voith Sultzer until his retirement. Vic was a loving husband and father and he treasured every moment he spent with his family and friends. Vic is survived by his wife, Marilyn Berndt, Kaukauna, 3 children Victor Jr. (Wendy) Berndt, Darboy, Terri (Kelly Howlett) Berndt, Kaukauna, Jason Berndt, Neenah, 4 grandchildren, Mitchell, Mason, Michael and Christopher. He is further survived by brothers and sisters, William (Audrey) Wolf, Gilbert (Judy) Wolf. Elinor Schuhart, Sherri Schafer, Tom (Lori) Berndt, Jeff (Debra) Berndt, Patty (Donald)Wolff, David Berndt, Kathy Wanner, Bill Wara, his puppy, Pepper, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Vic was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bobby Berndt.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. at 7 pm with Pastor Kandler officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 5 pm until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
