Tyrone Davis of Appleton, passed away on August 27, 2026 at the age of 84.

Tyrone was born in Chicago, IL on December 14, 1941 to Joe Jackson and Willie Mae Nelson. Their childhood was spent loving baseball, notably the Cubs. He spent his time cooking and enjoyed listening to the blues. In his youth he would work at the local newspaper stand, and later transitioned into a janitor, then a butcher. He was very generous to his friends and loved ones, despite how quiet he was due to his stutter.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Jackson and Willie Mae Outlaw, brothers, Leroy Davis, Robert Davis, Eddie Lee Davis, Maurice Davis, and Roosevelt Davis. He is survived by his one sister, Sylvia Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on 8/21/2026, 2:00pm, at Appleton Pentecostal Assembly. A visitation will precede the services at 1:00pm. Friends and family are welcome.
