Tyler R Jahnke

September 22, 1989 — December 14, 2023

Appleton

Tyler Richard Jahnke passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2023. He was born September 22, 1989 to Richard and Deborah Jahnke in Marion, Wisconsin. He attended Marion High School and graduated 2008. He met the love the love of his life, Katie Rogers, in 2011. He graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering. Tyler and Katie were united in marriage on January 20, 2017. They welcomed their vibrant daughter, Lennon, on May 11, 2018. She is a beautiful, kind, tiny Tyler. They moved to Appleton, Wisconsin for Tyler’s job at U.S. Venture, a job he took such pride in and enjoyed immensely. They then welcomed their son Crew, born November 22, 2019. He blew into the hearts of all and has happily remained a whirling dirvish ever since. He loves music and movement, just like Tyler.

He was recently recognized for the outstanding work he was doing bringing digital applications and platforms to fruition. He was incredibly gifted in the digital world, and even more so in the world of music. His talent as a multi-faceted musician was legendary. You could listen to Tyler sing and pick a guitar, slap the bass or bang on some drums-which happened to be his favorite instrument to play and be transported to another place full of life, love, and exuberance. He lived his life on a stage and brought joy to so many people with just his presence. He played most notably for Nashville Pipeline from 2013-2019, and most recently the popular band, Left on Read, which he had recently formed. He has been playing music, in some form, since he was 8 years old. Next to his family, music was undoubtedly a true love. His music, kindness, humor, and laughter will be how his family remembers him. Together Tyler and Katie embraced family life, and built a beautiful world for themselves.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Robert Jahnke, Grandfather Sivert and Grandmother Alice Pedersen.

He is survived by his loving wife Katie Jahnke and their two children Lennon-5, and Crew-4, a bernedoodle Gibson, parents Rick and Deb Jahnke, grandmother Vonnie Jahnke, a brother Joel(Emily) Jahnke, a nephew Fletcher, a sister Nikki(William) Jordan, nieces Nori and Sage, Father- and Mother-in-Law Patrick and Kelly Rogers, a sister-in-law Megan(Kyle) Knaust, a brother-in-law Mitchell(Jess) Rogers, niece Cambria, and nephew Hollace, his band family, as well as numerous family and friends.
