Thomas Francis Vande Vyver

Thomas Francis Vande Vyver, age 65 of Kimberly, WI passed away on May 26, 2024.  He was born to Amede and Helen (Kettenhoven) Vande Vyver on November 21, 1958 in Appleton, WI.  He graduated from Kimberly High School with the class of ’76 and started working at the Kimberly Clark Paper Mill, just like his father.  

Tom was a humorous man.   It was sometimes difficult to take him seriously because half the time, he was only joking around with a twinkle in his eye.  He had a deep love for music, especially playing music on his keyboard, his harmonica, and singing karaoke with his family and friends.  Tom also enjoyed boating and fishing on the lake.  He always cheered on the Packers whenever they were playing.  You could often find Tom in his yard, puttering around to keep it looking nice, or soaking in his hot tub, relaxing after that yard work.  More than anything, though, he loved his family and cherished every moment he spent with his sons, grandkids, girlfriend, and little buddy, Augie.

Tom will be deeply missed by his children, Chris (Heather), Matthew (Megan), and Jonathan (Lauren); his grandchildren, Grayson, Carter, and Martha; his girlfriend, Lou Ann; his sister-in-law, Joyce; as well as his nephews and niece, other extended relatives, and dear friends, especially Scott, Dave, Timmy, and Mark.  

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Amede and Helen; and his brothers, Michael and Patrick.

A funeral visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday June 5, 2024 at Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home, 204 E. Kimberly Ave, Kimberly, WI 54136.  A second funeral visitation will be held from 9-11 AM on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Ave, Kimberly, WI 54136 with a mass to follow at 11 AM.  Tom will be laid to rest following the service at Holy Name Cemetery in Kimberly.   In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Tom's name.  

Tom’s family would like to extend a special thanks to his best buds, Scott and Dave, and his girlfriend, Lou Ann, the Fox Valley Metro Police Department, and the Victim Crisis Response Team for helping the family navigate through this tough time with grace and compassion.
