Thomas (Tom) J. Stadler of Appleton, WI, age 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024.
Tom was born on May 4, 1951, to Jerome and Mary Stadler, in Appleton, WI. On November 15, 1975, Tom married Mary Rose Vanden Heuvel, in Seymour, WI.
Tom worked as a draftsman for many years at various local companies, and then worked for 27 years for Mills Fleet Farm as a merchandise clerk and specialized in the plumbing and electrical departments. Tom was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and thrived on the challenge of hundreds of word puzzles.
Tom is sadly missed and survived by his best friend and love of his life, Mary Stadler; sister, Susan Stadler; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kathy Stadler; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Karen Vanden Heuvel; and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his godparents, Ronald and Bernice Stadler; his in-laws, Donald and Rosemary Vanden Heuvel; sister-in-law, Donna Vanden Heuvel; and brother-in-law, Larry Vanden Heuvel.
Funeral liturgy for Tom will be on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St., in Appleton, WI. Entombment will occur directly after the funeral liturgy and will be private with the immediate family in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton, WI. Relatives and friends will be received at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Tom’s name.
It is hard to feel the loss of someone you love, when so much of that person remains with you all the time. Tom had such a huge impact on our lives that he became part of us. I love you so much, Tom! Your wife, Mary
