Thomas Charles Plath, 86, died Sunday, August 10 at Aspire Senior Living in Kimberly, WI. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Thelen). Tom and Mary were married for 66 years after going together in Menasha High School. Tom was the son of Arden F. Plath and Grace Seagert Plath. He was born at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah on June 20, 1939.

Tom and Mary had 4 children, Sharon (Jim) Friebel, Teri (Steve) Winter, Steve (Jen) Plath, and Christine (Del) LaMarche. He is survived by 5 grandchildren: Sara Friebel, Nick (Linda) Friebel, Ben (Kayla) LaMarche, Matt Winter and Beth LaMarche. He also has 5 great grandchildren: Rose, Colt, and Lainey Jo LaMarche; and Eleanor and Sylvia Friebel. Tom is survived by a sister-in-law Jan Wagner, brothers-in-law Dan Thelen and Tom Thelen.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dick and sister Patsy, sisters-in-law Diana Plath Stalzer and Judy Thelen, brothers-in-law Al Zuehlke, Orville Stalzer, and Gilbert Wagner, along with a grand daughter Erin McCarthy.

While in high school, Tom joined the Wisconsin National Guard, Neenah. His unit was called to active duty during the Berlin Crisis. Tom was stationed in Tacoma, Washington. Mary and Sharon joined him and Teri was born there. When they arrived back home, Tom finally got a job at the Appleton Water Treatment Plant where he worked for about 31 years, retiring in 1997. Tom and Mary enjoyed camping all over the US in their RV, especially being Florida snow birds in the winter. 

Tom didn't want a funeral, so a private service will be held.
