Thomas Novy, of Kaukauna, age 60, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April
12, 2011 following a traffic accident. He was born on May 6, 1950, in
Antigo, the son of the late Joseph and Gladys (Ploederl) Novy. Tom
served his country in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972. He married Janet
Wildman on October 9, 1971 in Antigo. Tom started his employment in
1969 with Graphic Packaging in Menasha and has been a dedicated
employee for 42 years. He enjoyed raising his horses, hunting and
fishing and spending time with his dog, Levi. Tom loved visiting with
friends and neighbors. His grandchildren meant the world to him and
he loved spending time with them.
Tom is survived by his loving wife: Janet Novy; three sons: Steve
Novy, Aniwa; Joe (Maria) Novy, Appleton and Dave (Katie) Novy,
Kimberly; three grandchildren: Aspen and Brennan Novy; Paige Novy;
sister: Pat Wild, Antigo; two brothers: Dennis (Shaughn) Novy,
Antigo and Bob (Diane) Novy, Antigo; sister-in-law: Deb Novy, Antigo
and brother-in-law: Ron Wild, Antigo. He is further survived by
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tom was preceded in
death by his father and mother-in-law: Joe and Margaret Wildman; his
sister, Margaret Wild; brother, Jim Novy and brother-in-law, Norm
The funeral service for Tom will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday,
April 16, 2011 at OUR REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1750 Midway Road,
Menasha. Rev. Debra “Dee” Sim will be officiating. Burial will take
place at Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Antigo. The family will
receive friends at the Fargo Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 pm until
7:00 pm and again at the church from 10:00 am until the time of
service. A memorial has been established in Tom's name.
