Terry L. Winius, a teacher in the Fox Valley, passed into the care of the Lord on December 28, 2025, at St. Paul Elder Care Services at the age of 83. She was born the ninth child of the late George and Mary Seroogy, in Green Bay.
Terry graduated from St. Patrick Grade School and St. Joseph Academy, both in Green Bay, and received her bachelor’s degree from Holy Family College in Manitowoc. She then taught elementary school at St. John’s in Little Chute, St. Mary’s in Brillion, and St. Gabriel’s in Neenah.
Terry married Edward Van Berkel on May 16, 1979, and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2008. She was then united in marriage to Joseph Winius on December 11, 2011, and he preceded her in death on September 13, 2018.
Terry is survived by her siblings: Jill (Peter) Geniesse and Jack (Jean) Seroogy; many nieces and nephews; Ed’s children and their families: Paul, Joe, Dan, Bill, Tom, and Doug; Joe’s children and their families: Janet, Sue, Jo Anne, Nancy, and Ken; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Terry was further preceded in death by her siblings: George Seroogy Jr., Anna Mae Sylvester, Josie Williams, Bob Seroogy, Tom Seroogy, and Fran Seroogy.
A funeral Mass for Terry will be held at 11AM, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the St. Paul Home Chapel, 316 E. 14th St., Kaukauna. Visitation will be on Saturday at the chapel from 10AM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Paul Elder Care Services.
