Steve Krull

March 16, 1956 — October 3, 2022

Appleton

Steven L. Krull, died unexpectedly on October 3rd, 2022, at the age of 66. He was born on March 16, 1956, to parents James and Virginia Krull. Steve married the love of his life, Susan Coenen, on November 4th of 1978. They spent 44 years loving one another and in that time were blessed with two wonderful sons, Eric and Mike. Steve and his family take pride in the family business, Overhead Doors Unlimited, that Steve co-founded and operated for 40 years.

Steve was a man of few words but left a long-lasting story and impression on those around him. Most often he had a hammer in hand and work boots on, always prepared to lend a hand to a neighbor. When he was not helping others and working hard, he could be found enjoying time at the lake and hunting land. This was a place where Steve spent a lot of time connecting with nature and spending time with his beloved family. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. Even when he fished, he never stopped thinking of others and always remembered to share his catch with the eagles. He also was proud to be a part of several groups in the community such as DairyLand baseball, Thursday night softball, and his bowling team. Steve found joy in making time for everyone he crossed paths with. All who knew him loved him and were left a better person.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Coenen) Krull, and two sons: Eric (Lindsay) Krull and Mike (Julie) Krull of Freedom; his grandchildren are Max, Halle, Jack, Emersen, Alexis, and Cailyn. Steve is also survived by his two parents, James and Virginia Krull of Appleton as well as his siblings, Joe (Doreen) Krull, Linda (Dave) Radtke, and Lori (Kenny) Gossens. He will be missed by his father-in-law, Kenneth Coenen along with his brothers-in-law, Mark (Terri) Coenen, Tim (Jacci) Coenen, Matt Coenen, and sisters-in-law, Chris (Mark) Sherman and Mary (Gary) Hawley. Steve has many special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and wonderful friends, including special up-north neighbors, the Bystrek family.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Lois Coenen and his brother-in-law, John Bogenschutz.
