Sophie Kathleen Sullivan

Sophie Kathleen Sullivan, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, and friend, died on Saturday, April 16, 2022, in a tragic car crash along with her dear friend, Audrie Stephens. Sophie was born November 17th, 2000.

Sophie was a light to many and brought joy into all of our lives. An inquisitive young girl, Sophie graduated from Appleton North High School in 2019 and grew into a highly motivated, free-spirited young woman with discernment and wisdom beyond her years. Her adventurous and intrepid personality took her to many places: Italy, Greece, France, South Korea, Hawaii and countless road trips to Colorado, Madison and Minneapolis. Many of her travels were self-funded by savings earned through her first job at Culver’s. That’s a lot of french fries! More recently, Sophie had started a job in banking and was loving it! She had recently been promoted to Head Teller at Community First Credit Union and was motivated and excited about her future in banking.

Sophie was a devoted big sister to her brother Tristan, who she treasured. She developed deep and meaningful bonds with her cousins, friends, and co-workers. Sophie will be missed dearly, but the light she brought to us will never be farther than our memories of her smile.

Sophie is survived by her parents, Patrick (Nicole) Sullivan and Suzanne (Justin Gritt) Sullivan, her dear brother Tristan, her grandmother Kit Sullivan, grandparents Richard and Kathleen Melville, as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins and countless wonderful friends. Sophie was preceded in death by her grandparents Mike Sullivan, and Paul and Diane Risch.

Patrick and Nicole Sullivan have planned a funeral service for Sophie on Saturday, May 7th, 2022, at 2pm at Wichmann Funeral Homes, 537 N Superior Street, Appleton, WI, 54911. The visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service.
