Shirley Fae Miller

Shirley Miller, age 89, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2015. She was born on November 12, 1925 in Beaver Dam, to the late Alfred and Matilda (Salzwedel) Gaulke. On May 13, 1989 she married James R. Miller in Appleton. Shirley liked the outdoors, camping, and gardening. She looked forward to spending time at Captains Cove in Gresham. Shirley loved spending time with her family, cooking, and preparing for the Christmas season.

Shirley is survived by her husband Jim Miller; children Sandra (Jeff) Eggert, Donna (Richard) Zimmerman, Diane (Dan) Friebel, Gary (friend Brenda) Goland; step-son James G. (friend Sharon) Miller; step-daughters Pamela Miller and Deanna (Brian) Marsh; foster daughter Julie (John) Winkler, and son-in-law Timothy Reddy; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her sister Marcie Toutant. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter Judy Reddy, and granddaughter Amanda Goland.

The memorial service for Shirley will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha. Rev. Philip Geiger will be officiating.
