Sheila Mae Romenesko

January 10, 1933 — August 20, 2021

There was a lovely lady by the name of Sheila Romenesko that would like you to know she received a call on Friday, August 20, 2021, that her work here is now done and that it was time to come Home.  It was an offer she couldn’t refuse, for an appointment for which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a sign-on bonus, a reunion with her husband of 53 years, Marvin Romenesko.   Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where music, laughter, and love are guaranteed.  She left instructions for her children and those who love her to celebrate her mission here, which has been completed – wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, actress, Red Hatter, Toastmaster, church volunteer, and business woman “the queen of numbers” …oh, how she loved to reconcile a check register!!

She was an intelligent, positive, creative, and encouraging woman who responded to Momma, Sheil, Mom, Mother, Grammy, Nannie, and Grandma…and so enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She thought her daughter-in-law and sons-in-law were wonderful too.  She loved performing in community theater, watching those romantic Hallmark movies, and could she write! Poetry, short stories, the personal notes she wrote inside your birthday card could make you cry.  As the host of Senior Showcase, she interviewed professionals. She was intuitive and empathic.

“Well done my daughter”!!

Loved ones who will miss her until they meet again; Lynn (Tom) Linssen, Robin Milis, Brad (Jill) Romesko, Lisa (Scott) Long, Tammy (Kurt) Zacharias, Kim (Jeff) Schuhart, and Kelly (William) Peterson. Her grandchildren; Jordan Bauer, Dylan (Jenna) Milis, Molly Milis and her fiancé Matt Maciejewski, Sydnee Milis, Taylor (Joey) Brostowitz, Hannah (Ayub) al Haleel, Jake Romenesko, Quinn Zacharias, Griffin Zacharias, Samuel Schuhart, and Grace Schuhart and her sweet grand babies, Jack and Charlie Brostowitz, David and Mason Milis, her siblings: Eunice (Roger) Verstegen, Ruth Harp, Mary (Jerry) Gehl, Allen (Deb) Ebben, Elaine Rathsack, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Ebben.

Funeral services for Sheila will be held at Wellspring at the Cross Church, 448 Prospect Street, Combined Locks on Friday, August 27th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joie Pirkey officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of services.  Sheila and Marvin will be laid to rest privately. In lieu of flowers, donations to St Jude’s Hospital, Sheila’s favorite charity or to the charity of your choice in Sheila’s name.

We love and miss you, Mom!
