Sharon D. Scott

November 24, 1940 — May 17, 2022

Appleton

Today our hearts are heavy with great sadness.  Sharon Scott age 81, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in her home. Sharon was born on November 24, 1940, in Oconto Falls, and went to Appleton West High School and absolutely loved it. She always said, “West is Best.” To this day she had regular lunch meetings with her girlfriends, who also shared a love for reading books. Sharon worked for the Outagamie Crisis Intervention Center where she earned her degrees. Her passion in life was helping people which is why she loved her job so much. When she retired, she dedicated herself to her twin granddaughters. She was famous for making her homemade chili and inviting her grandsons over to enjoy it.  She loved her late-night book readings while sipping her coffee with Irish crème.

She was preceded in death by her mother Elsie Frederick Hansen, her sister Sandra (Jack) Neely, and her son Christopher Winfield Scott.

Sharon is survived by Rick Nelson and her loving daughter Tracy Scott-Bos who will always have a heavy heart for the loss of her mother and the caring for her twin girls Desirae and Olivia Bos.

She is also survived by her very close brother Terry (Deborah) Hansen of Nevada, their children Heather and Tiffany and grandchildren: Brooke, Brittany, Corben, Riley, and Conner;

Her grandson Mitchell Winfield Scott and wife Danielle. Danielle was a loving daughter-in-law and a truly kind friend. Between their late-night gossip phone calls and their Bailey Irish runs they were inseparable. Sharon was over the moon about the birth of her recent great-grandchild Serena Scott;

Her grandson Alexander Scott. Alexander will always cherish that his Gram was a shoulder to lean on when he needed someone the most. She was also over the moon about the births of her great-grandchildren Nova and A’lana Scott;

Her niece and nephew Lisa Poelck and Jackie Neely.

May Sharon rest in peace with her Guardian Angel Christopher Winfield Scott (son). Together they will continue to watch over their family and friends.

A private service for the comfort of the family is being planned.
