Sharlene E. Schvid

Sharlene E. Schvid, age 74, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018. She was born in Harvey Illinois on February 19, 1944, the daughter of the late Albert and Marie (VanVerzen) Enwall. Sharlene graduated from Appleton West High School and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin and later to study Spanish in Mexico City (along with fellow classmate David Soul of Starsky and Hutch fame). She met Robert Schvid in Madison, and the two moved to Appleton in 1983, where they were married on October 19, 1984.

Sharlene was known for her kindness, compassion, and her natural ability to put others’ needs ahead of her own. She had a passion for photography, good music, and cats.

She is survived by her husband, son, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The funeral service for Sharlene will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Wichmann Funeral Home (537 N. Superior St., Appleton). Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
