Obituary

Shannon Elizabeth Laemmrich, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2026. Born on June 4, 1991, Shannon graduated from St. Mary Catholic High School in Neenah before earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Marian University. Driven by her passion for helping others, she was actively pursuing her master’s degree in psychology through Southern New Hampshire University.

Shannon was employed at St. David’s Developmental and Therapeutic Services in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she brought dedication and warmth to the children, families, and colleagues she worked with each day.

An avid sports fan, Shannon loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Minnesota Wild. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family and friends and was always happiest when surrounded by loved ones at family gatherings. She cherished time spent at the family cottage, wilderness trips to the Boundary Waters, and a memorable recent vacation to Destin, Florida. Above all, she showered love on her cherished pets—Brody, Sage, and Marley.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father, Mark Laemmrich; her grandparents, George and Ruth Clifford, and Richard and Rosemary Laemmrich; and her aunt, Barbara Heus.

She is survived and deeply missed by her mother, Margaret Laemmrich; her loving partner, Carter Gilber of St. Paul, MN; her sisters, Erin Laemmrich (partner John Bambino) of Chicago, IL, and Meghan King (Bryan) of Grimes, IA; her brothers, Alan Laemmrich (Anne) of Woodbury, MN, and Kevin Laemmrich (Autumn) of Anchorage, AK; her beloved nieces, Avah King, Olivia King, and Grace Laemmrich; her nephews, Carter King, Easton King, Teddy Laemmrich, Charlie Laemmrich, and Fen Laemmrich; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

A funeral mass is being scheduled and details will be updated as they become available.
