Scott Schiedermayer

May 6, 1961 — December 10, 2025

Appleton

Scott Max Schiedermayer, age 64, passed into eternal life on December 10, 2025. He was born May 6, 1961, at St Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton to the late Leo and Joann (Van Ryzin) Schiedermayer. He grew up in Appleton attending St Joseph Grade School followed by Menasha High School. Following high school, Scott’s adventurous spirit took over and brought him first to Colorado where he worked at a ski resort. Afterwards, he moved to San Diego where he met Gloria Regalado, the two married, and soon after Jason arrived. The family moved to Maryland and Corbin made his appearance. It was at this time that Scott enlisted in the U.S. Army.

Florida soon beckoned and Scott moved there. He was working at Venice Hospital where he met Karen Lucyk in 1992. She was completely smitten by this tall and handsome man with eyes that saw deeply. In 1994, they married and the couple moved to Wisconsin where Kelly arrived. Scott’s family had grown and extended to include two sons and a daughter.

Scott loved skiing, the mountains, and adventures of all sorts. He and Jason adventured all over Colorado. He enjoyed watching movies, and loved all things in the technology and science fields. Scott was curious about life and was always searching for the answers as to how things worked. He liked to read and dabbled in guitar. Scott was deeply involved in AA and started the local chapter in Sherwood. His experience was so profoundly life changing, that he moved on to volunteer as a mentor for AA as well.

Scott is survived by his wife Karen and children: Jason, Corbin, Kelly (Kraig Van Groll). He is further survived by his sister Laurie (Carl) Schmidt, brother Mark Schiedermayer, his aunt Paula Smith, uncle Bob Van Ryzin, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Joann, his aunt Sharon (Jack) Kunstman, his uncle Jim Smith, uncle Thomas (Chris) Van Ryzin, and other relatives.

A funeral liturgy will take place on Monday December 22, 2025, at 10:30am, at St Joseph Parish, 410 W Lawrence Street, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the church from 9:30am until mass begins.
