Scott “Wally” H. Liebzeit, 54, Hortonville, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 3, 2011. Scott was born on October 27, 1956 in Appleton to Henry and Verla (Bergholz) Liebzeit. Scott’s passion was bear hunting with his hounds and close friends. It didn’t matter the time or day, Scott was happy as long as he was in the northwoods holding a cold Budweiser in his hand. Scott had a real talent for carpentry. Give him some wood, a saw, hammer and nails, and he’d turn it into something great. He enjoyed spending time out in his yard, whether it be with his dogs, or in his garden. He had a very kind heart, and touched many lives. If you needed him, all you had to do was call, and he’d be there. And if you’re looking for a good laugh, he’d be sure to give you one. He will missed by many.
Scott is survived by his black lab Kip; a brother: Thomas (Ann) Liebzeit of Pembine; a niece: Jodi (Ben) Baumgart of Hortonville; a nephew: Joshua Liebzeit of Greenville; two great-nephews: Brent and Blake Baumgart; a special aunt: Suzanne (Darrell) Behnke of Appleton; a good friend and hunting companion: Jeff Baehman of White Lake; along with many other relatives and friends. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Verla, his grandparents Henry Sr. and Lydia Liebzeit and Joseph and Minnie Bergholz, and a best friend, Tom “Ike” Eichoff.
Visitation for Scott will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 7, 2011, with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Kurt Kovanen will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association are appreciated.
