Scott L. "Cazz" Casanova

Scott "Cazz" Casanova, age 73 passed away on June 13, 2024 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was born on July 9, 1950 in Merrill, Wisconsin to the late Lyle and Betty (Hougum) Casanova. He was a friend of Bill W, "Alcoholics Anonymous" since 9-11-06. He spoke at ThedaCare Behavioral Center for 7 ½ years, helping others to be free of their addictions to alcohol and drugs. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and was a proud member of A.R.M. "Association of Recovering Motorcyclists" since 9-26-09. He loved to travel and visited or touched down in 43 states; five providences of Canada; Anticosti Island, Mexico; two trips to Europe (France & Spain); and two trips to Africa (South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe). He retired in 2010 as a Site Acquisition Consultant for many Cell Phone Carriers procuring real estate for cell phone towers and antennas. He had many professions in his working carrier, including real estate broker; life and health insurance sales; administrator of "Journey into the Wild" Wildlife Museum in Hazlehurst, WI; manager and builder of a 525 acre wildlife game farm "Bearskin Wildlife Reserve" in Harshaw, WI; and worked in the printing industry companies in Wisconsin and California. 

He was very proud of his daughter, Angela Casanova Aransas Pass, TX: his son, Aaron Casanova Rhinelander, WI: and his four grandsons, Deven (Dominique) Alder Appleton, WI: Dalton Cieslewicz, Almond, WI: Cohen Casanova Rhinelander, WI: and Conner Casanova Rhinelander, WI. He is further survived by a brother Clark (Ruby) Casanova Winnabow, NC: a brother Dane Casanova Clintonville, WI: an uncle, several aunts, nieces and nephews, his A.R.M. family, AA family, and many good friends.

Cazz was preceded in death by his parents: a sister, Carrie (Jack) Kutzler New Colony, TX: a brother, Grant (Elaine) Casanova Chanhassen, MN: a brother, Brent Casanova Tucson, AZ: and two cousins, Todd Casanova and Karen Casanova. 

Funeral services for Scott will be held at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel, 1592 S. Oneida St, Menasha, WI on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Visitation will be from 12 PM – 3 PM followed by the Memorial Service at 3 PM. The committal service for Cazz will take place on June 30, 2024, at 12:00PM at Union Grove Cemetery, 4521 Lakewood Road, Harshaw, WI. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Genesis Club in Appleton in honor of Cazz.
