Rudolph J. Brinsko

July 6, 1914 — December 27, 2008

Age 94, died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Brewster Village in Appleton. Rudy was born on July 6, 1914 in Iron Mountain, Michigan, son of the late Thomas and Caroline Brinsko. He married the former Anna Rahoy on January 26, 1946, in Milwaukee; she preceded him in death in 2003.

For over forty years, Rudy was employed as a warehouse manager by the Keebler Company, and worked in a variety of locations all around Wisconsin and in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The last twenty years of his career was spent here in Appleton, and Rudy retired in 1980. Many will recall how he enjoyed listening to music, gardening, and fixing things around the house. He learned to use a computer later in life, and was very adept – emailing family and friends as recently as this past week.

Rudy is survived by four sons: James (Kim) Brinsko of Milwaukee; Joseph (Pat) Brinsko of Winneconne; Thomas (Cindy) Brinsko of Hudson; and Michael (Nancy) Brinsko of Greenville, South Carolina; grandchildren: Chanda, Bryan, Stephen, and Daniel Brinsko; Monica (Chad) Schelfhout, Benjamin Schinke, Melanie (Russ) Madden, Molly, Kezziah and Noelle Brinsko, Laura Fritz, Lisa Ramsdell and Sara Spady; and twelve great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother: Clarence Brinsko of Thiensville; sisters-in-law: Sophie Boutel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Florence Brinsko of Milwaukee, and Agnes Rahoy of Waukesha; a brother-in-law: Ervin (Virginia) Rahoy of Mequon. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, his step-parents Harvey and Katherine Baril, his wife Anna, brothers: John (Katherine) Brinsko, Tom Brinsko, and Francis Brinsko; sisters-in-law: Helen (Ed) Reuter, Mary Rahoy, and Marie Brinsko; and a brother-in-law Robert Rahoy.

The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Rudy's name at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brewster Village, especially those at the Gallery in Symphony Place who made such a comfortable home for our Dad. You gave him such wonderful care – we will never forget all you have done for us. Thank you.
