Rosemary L. Reetz

Rosemary Reetz, 93, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on April 28, 2022. Rose was born to the late Edmund and Anna Schelfhout. Rose was married to the late Gerald Reetz for 67 years. Rose had a very active life. She worked for the Kimberly School District for 42 years, along with waitressing on weekends at Reetz’s Supper Club. She was involved with the Board of Appeals in Kimberly, President of the Golden Agers, organizer of Senior Quest with the Senior Citizens in Kimberly, was the secretary of Papperfest for 24 years, delivered Meals on Wheels for 20 years, and volunteered at Appleton Medical Center for 22 years. She also was a member of the Ladies of Holy Spirit Church, Kimberly Homemakers and played cards in two bridge clubs. Puzzles, bingo and the Hallmark Channel were some of her favorite pass times over the last few years.

Rose is survived by her 3 children: Deb Seremeta, Rick (Mary) Reetz, and Nancy (Jim) Kampo; 7 grandchildren: Leah (Tom) Wickersham, Matt (Emily) Reetz, Nick (Emmie) Kampo, Dusty (Jen) Kampo, Sara (Dustin) Haug, Chelsea Seremeta, Sam (Erica) Kampo; 13 great grandchildren:  Luke, Colton, Maple, North, Fern, Fox, Claire, Natalie, Noah, Hailey, Hannah, Lucy and Jaxon; her brothers: Gene, Don, Jim (Arlene), and Joe (Sue) Schelfhout; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents; Rose was further preceded in death by a brother: Dick Schelfhout, and 2 sisters: Ann Martin and Lori Roepke.

The funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 620 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass. Inurnment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to ThedaCare at Home and Hospice.
