Rosemary E. Brantmeier, age 84, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2013, at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. She was born on December 23, 1928, in Appleton to the late John and Clara (Holzschuh) Brantmeier. She always had a strong faith and was a long time member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton. Rosemary worked at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and retired after 28 years of service. Her proudest achievement was being able to purchase her first home near Sacred Heart when she retired.
Rosemary is survived by her nieces and nephews, John (Linda) Brantmeier of Appleton, Marge (Gene) Van Asten of Little Chute, Kathie (Jon) Marsh of Townsend, Mary Beth (Peter) Prankratz of Appleton, Joe (Chris) Brantmeier of Sherwood, Carol (Dave) Roche of Mequon, Mike (Carol) Brantmeier of Sherwood, Sharon (Randy Shaver) Brantmeier of Cottage Grove, Dave (Karen) Stehula of Appleton, Helene (Dale) Burmeister of DePere, Ed Stehula of Kimberly, and Mary Stehula of Townsend. She is further survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bernice (Julius) Stehula; brother, Hilard (Rose Mary) Brantmeier; and nephew Lee Stehula.
Funeral liturgy for Rosemary will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton. A time of visitation will be held at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sherwood. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Rosemary's loving memory.
Rosemary's family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Teresa Lee at Affinity Medical Group in Appleton for all of her wonderful care of Rosemary over the years. They would also like to thank Dr. Misty Johnson, Hospitalist at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, for her tremendous care, support, and wisdom during Rosemary's recent hospitalizations. The family would like to further thank the staffs at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Appleton Retirement Community, and St. Paul Elder Services for all of their compassionate care.
