IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roselyn "Rose" L.
Wendt

Memorial Service

Starts at 10:30 am (Central time)
Roselyn (Rose) Wendt age 79, of Appleton, Wisconsin passed away on February 2, 2026, at her home due to multiple health challenges.
Born on 8/18/1947 in Elroy, WI to Edward and Betty Louise Wendt. Rose attended UW Madison and worked steadily as a registered nurse. Rose was held in high regard for her deep compassion, caring for patients across the entire spectrum of life, from the arrival of newborns to her specialized work as a visiting hospice nurse, where she brought peace and dignity to families during their most sacred hours.
Outside of her professional life, she found joy in the simple pleasures of camping, cooking, reading mysteries and various crafts. Even as she faced the challenges in health in her later years, Rose’s creative spirit remained undimmed; she began crafting elaborately decorated boxes, utilizing fabric and notions to create unique gifts for her family and community. A devoted member of the Unitarian Universalist church, Rose’s greatest light was her long marriage to her life partner, Emily Chosa, with whom she built a life defined by enduring love and partnership.
She is survived by her sister Mary Bailey and honorary daughter and caretaker, Theresa Widder, and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ed and Bill Wendt, and partner Emily Chosa who passed before her.
Her memorial service will be held at Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on March 9, 2026, at 10:30 AM at 2600 E. Philip Lane in Appleton WI.
