RoseAnn Virginia Bushman

RoseAnn Virginia Bushman, age 75, passed away peacefully at Peabody Manor, on August 2, 2024. She was born on July 6, 1949, to the late John A. and Bernice H. (Wolff) Bushman in Appleton. Rosie graduated from Appleton High School and soon after began her work career at Zwicker Knitting Mill, where she worked until it closed. While working at Zwicker’s she became known as the Rosie of Rosie’s Cantina in Appleton where she made friends that would last the rest of her life.

Rosie grew up in Appleton with her brothers and sisters. She was kind and caring to her siblings and as the first child born relished in being a big sister. She is and always will be remembered for her big heart. She loved to go to the corner store with her brothers and sisters. It was always an adventure.

Rosie passion for horses led her to spend time at Porto’s Riding Stable helping out with the horses she loved so much. Time at the bars playing cribbage always brought a smile to her face. She loved making the rounds to spend time with her friends and was never at a loss for a board if one was needed. 

RoseAnn is survived by her siblings: David (Sandy) Bushman, Jerry (Jean) Bushman, Linda (Gordon) Craig, Susan Burton, Bonnie (Markus) Wittman, and Janet Jahnke. She is further survived by 15 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bruce (Carol) Bushman, and many aunts and uncles.

A funeral mass will take place on Saturday August 10, 2024, at 11:am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E Fremont Street, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the church from 9:00am until mass begins. Rosie will be laid to rest with her parents at St Mary’s Cemetery, Appleton.

Rosie’s family would like to thank the many family and friends who have assisted with caring for her over the last year. You care for her did not go unnoticed, nor unappreciated.
