Obituary

Ronald Lee DeGroff, 86, of New London, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026. Ron was born in New London, Wisconsin, and lived a life filled with family, friendship, laughter, and plenty of good times on the golf course.

He was preceded in death by his parentsOrville & Irene DeGroff and his sister Donna Lauten.

Ron is survived by his loving wife,Nancy DeGroff; his daughter Julie (Kevin) Nelson, his granddaughter KaylaRiehl; his sister Joan (Gary) Bernegger; brother-in-law Wayne Lauten; step-grandsons, Garrett (Jennifer)Nelson; and Logan (Kassidy Sturm)Nelson; andstep-great-grandchildren, Molly and Thomas Nelson. He is also survived by hismany nieces and nephews.

Ron will be remembered for his quickwit, great sense of humor, and his ability to always have an answer for justabout anything. He also had a knack for finding a solution to every problem—andif he didn’t already have the fix, there was a good chance an order from Temuwould soon arrive with exactly what he needed. His family and friends willforever remember his humor, his helpful nature, and the many laughs he broughtinto their lives.

Ron especially enjoyed spending thespring, summer, and fall months on the golf course with his friends. Golf wasmore than a pastime for Ron; it was a place where he enjoyed good company, goodconversation, and making memories with those he cared about. Ron’s dayconsisted of breakfast with Nancy, Lunch with Nancy, and usually a popcornsnack while power-watching shows together.

Ron leaves behind a lifetime ofmemories and laughter that will be cherished by his family and friends.

May Ron rest peacefully, knowing he wasloved and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to give heartfeltthanks to Cathy & Craig Trebatoski, Logan Nelson, Kassidy Sturm, Stephanie& Adam Guden, Carol Sylte, Dave & Dannette Sturm and Rick Olsen for allthe help and support given to the family during this difficult time.

We would also like to thank all thedoctors and nurses at Theda Care Neenah, floor 5. Especially Brooke, whowas there for us through everything.

Dad, my love for you is never ending, Icouldn’t have ever asked for a better Dad. You are always in my heart.
