Korth, Roger H.
Roger Korth, age 64, of Kimberly, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Roger was born in Appleton on May 26, 1945, son of the late Elmer and Wilma (Vander Heiden) Korth. On November 6, 1965 he married Sandra Stutzman at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Black Creek. Roger proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, and was the owner and operator of Blue Mist Distributing and retired from Jack's Maintenance in Neenah. He was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and enjoyed following the Brewers, Packers, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Everyone will remember Roger's love for his red Dodge truck.
He is survived by his wife: Sandy Korth; two children: Darwin (April) Korth and Tammy (special friend Mike Alt) Bacon; seven grandchildren: Travis, Jennifer, Russell, Ashly, Kirsten, Alexis, and Logan; three great-grandchildren: Danial, Vanessa, and Curtis; four brothers: Elmer Korth, Howard (Millie) Korth, Ken Korth, and Bill Korth; special friends: Rosanne Korth, Kari Wheeler, Jon Bacon, and Steve Sleik; a special niece: Debbie Lindsey, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Roger was preceded in death by his sisters: Norita, Ruth and Dorothy and his brother Don.
The Christian Funeral for Roger will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 31, 2009 at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Morrison Street in Appleton. Friends may call at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated.
