Robert (Bob) Henry Sengstock, age 88 of Kaukauna, WI was called home to his Father’s heavenly kingdom on March 19, 2026. He was born to Henry Sengstock and Doris Stichman on June 9, 1937 in Clintonville, WI. Robert graduated from Clintonville High School with the class of 1955. After high school, he graduated from the University of WI-Madison with an engineering degree. He worked as a mechanical engineer and spent most of his career at Giddings & Lewis, finishing his career at Kimberly-Clark. Robert met the love of his life, Karen Sengstock (Kroll) while in college, and they were married in June of 1960.
Bob was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved life, loved helping people, and was devoted to his family. He was an avid golfer, fly-fisherman, rose gardener, bird lover, and bowler, and he enjoyed many years at the lake with his family. He was known for being meticulous when completing any task, but he could always find time to play a family game. Bob and Karen loved to travel and were always planning their next adventure, whether here or abroad. Bob was a man of strong faith and spent many years volunteering both in the community and at church. His quick-witted, corny sense of humor will be dearly missed along with his grin.
Robert will be deeply missed by his wife of 65 years, Karen; his children, Scott, Kathy (Bart), Sarah, and Paul; along with his grandchildren, Katrina, Nicholas, Isaac, Ty, Ashley, Paige, Caroline, Claire; and great-grandchildren, Bobby, Jackson, and Theo. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters, Karen (Sam), LuAnne, and Judy as well as his brothers, Bill (Sally) and Steve (Cathy).
Robert is preceded in death by his mother and father, Doris and Henry; his parents-in-law, Gilbert and Lucetta; his sister, Paula; and his step-parents, Suzy and Llew.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 on Monday, March 30, 2026 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, N2740 North French Rd, Appleton, WI 54913, with the funeral service to follow starting at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to one of Bob’s favorite charities which included Special Olympics, American Red Cross, or Feeding America.
