Age 96, passed away at on June 21, 2014. He was born on February 13, 1918 to the late Robert and Lulu (Wait) Rahn. Robert married the former Wilma Denzer on June 15, 1946. He was employed by Aid Association for Lutherans for 46 years, retiring in 1983 as Second Vice-President Property Management. Bob was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kaukauna, where he held several positions on the church council and various church committees. He was an active member of the Fox Valley community serving on several civic and community boards. His passion for minor league baseball was obvious to those who knew him and resulted in his holding the position of president of the Appleton Baseball Club for 10 years. Bob enjoyed many hobbies including woodworking, stained glass, lapidary, coin and stamp collecting, gardening, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his son: Bruce (Sue) Rahn of Ohio; a grandson: Daniel of Ohio; a granddaughter: Anne of Michigan; and his brother: Alvin of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma, his parents, and four brothers.
It was Robert's wish to be cremated with no service. Interment will be held in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery.
