Landskron, Robert G.
Robert George Landskron, age 84, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on August 23, 1924, in Neenah, the son of the late Louis and Rose (Shebilski) Landskron. Robert graduated from Menasha High School in 1942. He married his loving wife, Elaine, at St. Joseph's Church in DePere on September 13, 1952. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2008. Robert served his country honorably in the Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an avid Packer fan. Robert enjoyed feeding the birds, fishing, bowling and exercise swimming at the YMCA. He worked for George Banta Company for 33 years and also 10 years at Mid America Tag and Label (Menasha Corp.) until his retirement in 1986.
Robert is lovingly survived by his children: David (Gail) of Menomonee Falls, Daryl of Milwaukee, Donald (Sally) of Neenah, Douglas (Janet) of Menasha, Devin (MaryJo) of Menasha; grandchildren: Kevin, Joshua, Charity, Jeremey (Amanda), Heather, Aaron, Scott, Stephanie; sister, Lois Monday; sister-in-law, June Landskron and brother-in-law, Tony Monday. He is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Bartel and brother, William Landskron.
A Memorial Service for Robert will be held on Monday, April 13, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-county Chapel, 3212 S. Oneida Street, Menasha, with Sister Mary Arnoldussen officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the director and staff of Sterling House in Neenah, Sister Mary Arnoldussen and St. John the Baptist Parish for their love and support.
