Robert "Bob" Ness

Robert “Bob” G. Ness, age 82, left his earthly home and entered into eternal life with our Lord and Savior on February 11, 2018. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Bob was born July 5, 1935 to the late Chuck and Lucille (Mantz) Ness. He was baptized into the Lord’s family following his birth.

In 1963, at St. Mary’s Church in Appleton, the Lord blessed Bob with his marriage to Kari Femal, his wife of 54 years. Their marriage has been filled with many blessings, including two loving sons, three grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Bob was a dear and loving husband, father and grandfather. While he will be deeply missed, the Lord continues to bless his family with the comfort of his eternal peace and happiness.

After graduating from high school, Bob served in the Army for two years. Following his discharge from the military, he went to college for two years. Bob worked for Riverside Paper Corporation for about 35 years in different departments of the office until his retirement. In his free time, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, trips to Lambeau for Packer games, golfing, bowling, and playing cards. He loved to socialize, be around people, and take family vacations.

Bob will be dearly missed by his wife, Kari Ness; children: Michael (Erin) Ness, Patrick (Christie) Ness; grandchildren: Ben (Dani) Oelhafen, and Macie and MaKenzie Ness; and great-grandchild, Alex Oelhafen. He is further survived by siblings-in-law: Ann (Dick) Paessler, Maureen (Mike) Baeten, Pat (Sandy) Femal, Bob Femal, and Marjean (Terry) Gable; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a nephew, Steve Paessler.

The funeral service for Bob will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton. There will be a time of visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Bob’s name.
