Robert Andrus

Robert Andrus, 81, died on August 24, 2024 at the Wisconsin Veterans home at King outside of Waupaca, WI. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 22, 1942 to Edward and Anna (Zaluski) Andrus. His high school and early college years were spent at St. Francis Seminary. He was drafted into the US Army and served in Vietnam. When he returned from active duty he resumed both his work at Marc’s Big Boy and his relationship with his sweetheart, Bonnie Jensen. They were married on February 7, 1970 and soon moved to Appleton. Robert worked several jobs in his career most notably as a restaurant manager and corrections officer. Robert was a devoted husband and father, hard worker, and devout Catholic. He is survived by his three sons, William, Christopher (Lori), and Todd, and one grandson, Sebastian. He is also survived by three sisters: Kathy, Mary, and Julie. They often remember Robert for his interesting stories and how he lead by example. The funeral liturgy for Robert will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2331 E. Lourdes Dr. in Appleton. A time of visitation will be held at the church from 9:30am until the time of the service. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
