Robert “Bob” Andrews, peacefully passed away on November 11th, 2025, surrounded by family, laughter, and the joy of watching the Packers lose on National TV (Bob was a die-hard Lions fan). He was 74 years young — and yes, he’d insist we emphasize the “young.”
Bob was the master of the dad joke and some “smartass” comments, a champion napper, and loved watching an old-time movie on TV like he had never seen it before. If something was broken, he’d have his wife fix it…eventually. If you needed advice, he had plenty — not all of it useful but always delivered with a heartfelt smile and some sarcasm.
Born and raised in Talbot, MI, to Eileen Andrews and the late William K Andrews, Bob met the love of his life, Debby (Rasner), at a softball field. Together, they built a family full of laughter, loyalty, and way too many nights on a ball field or in a gymnasium.
He is survived by his patient and loving wife of 42 years, Debby; their children, Matthew (Julie) and Megan; and three grandkids who adored him, Lauren, Madeline, and Alaina. He is further survived by his mother, Eileen Andrews; sisters, Jane (the late Thomas) Ballon, Mary (Mike) Oswald, Kathy (Pat) Sobey, Gina (David) Sarow, and Tricia (Roger) Gadda; his mother-in-law, Mary (Mack) McKim; his brothers-in-law; Scott Rasner, Brad (Jenny ) Rasner; and sister-in-law; Mikki (Larry) Koenigs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, William; his father-in-law, Ken Rasner; his brother, James; and his brother-in-law, Thomas Ballon.
Bob spent his working years on the family Mink farm, at Giddings and Lewis, and later at US Paper Mill (Sonoco) in Menasha, retiring in the Winter of 2023. When he wasn’t working 60 hours a week at the mill, you could find him on a ballfield or in a gymnasium. He spent over 45 years as a licensed sports official until a heart attack took him off the field and court. That wasn’t enough to keep him away from the action. He was a proud supporter of the Appleton West Terrors and “encourager” of the officials…often offering free advice, whether the crew wanted it or not!
The family wishes to send a special heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses for their exceptional care, kindness, and compassion during Bob’s short time in the ICU at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
In Bob’s honor, the family invites you to a Celebration of Life at The Fox Club at the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Stadium, 2400 N.
