Richard A. Whewell, 70, passed away on March 22, 2026. He was born on January 5, 1956, in Maryland, the son of Carmen Dale and Patricia Ann (McPhail) Whewell. Richard was honorably discharged from the Army in 1977. He was a history buff, who especially enjoyed civil war history. Richard enjoyed fishing and creating war themed models. He will be remembered most for his love of his grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his 3 children: Heather (Paul Jones) Whewell-Jones, Joshua (Jen) Whewell, and Melissa (Eric) Schreiter; grandchildren: Paige, Audrey, and Braelyn; siblings: Mark Whewell, Patrick Whewell, and Kathy Freed; a sister-in-law: Joan Sudnik; best friend: Matt Probst; other relatives and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Brian Whewell and Thomas Whewell.

Inurnment will take place at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in King.
