Richard ‘Rick’ Norbert Weber, age 75, of Glidden, passed away as the result of an automobile accident on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

Born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on February 17, 1950, Rick was the son of Raymond and Edna (Abhold) Weber. He attended Kaukauna High School, class of 1968. On July 31, 1968, he married Myrla Boelter, with whom he shared 46 loving years until her passing in 2014.

Rick dedicated 35 years of his career to quality assurance at Miller Electric, where he took great pride in his work until his retirement. In 2005, he and Myrla relocated to Glidden. Rick remained active in the community by working with the U.S. Forest Service in Park Falls and later in maintenance at McDonald’s. In 2023, he found love again with his beloved fiancée, Vicki Schmidt, with whom he shared a joyful and adventurous partnership

A true outdoorsman, Rick had a deep appreciation for nature. He loved riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, hiking through the woods, traveling out west and exploring backroads on his scooter, often accompanied by Vicki.

Rick is survived by his children, Paula (Tom) Froehlich, Saint James, MN, and Michael (Robbin) Weber, Woodbury, MN; his grandchildren: Laura (Ryan) Mokrzycki, Zumbrota, MN; Rebecca Froehlich (special friend Kennon), St. Paul, MN; Rachel Froehlich, Milwaukee, WI; and Timothy Froehlich, Saint James, MN. He is also survived by his siblings: Jerome Weber, Darboy, WI; David (Peggy) Weber, Kimberly, WI; Joanne Weber, Kimberly, WI; Rita Weber, Appleton, WI; and Linda Sommers, Appleton, WI.

He is also lovingly remembered by his fiancée, Vicki Schmidt; her children: Tammie (Jason) Vanderport, Tierney (Alex) Gigot, Jason (Monica) Schmidt, and Josh (Dani) Schmidt; her grandchildren: Chase, Tenley, Avery, Layla, Blake, McKinley, Fitzalexander, soon-to-arrive Baby Gigot, Lauren (Sam), Courtney (Chris); and great-granddaughter Sydney.

In addition to his wife Myrla, Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Edna Weber, and sister-in-law, Janet Weber.

Rick will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, kind heart, and love of the outdoors. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at Wichmann-Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave, Kaukauna at 3:00pm.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00pm.
