Age 60, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, while recovering from heart surgery. He was born in Appleton on April 8, 1950 the son of the late Martin and Adeline (Huebner) Jooss. After graduating from Appleton West High School in 1967 he enlisted in the Air Force and spent a tour in Germany where he enjoyed tracking down his ancestors. Rick will be remembered for his generosity to others.

Rick is survived by siblings: Dr. Robert (Judy) Jooss, Tom (Toni) Jooss and Barb Hechel; sister-in-law, Shirley Jooss; seven nieces and nephews; an uncle, three aunts and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Jooss, and brother-in-law, Mel Hechel.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
