Richard “Dick” L. Lehman, 81, passed away on April 8, 2025 due to complications from Parkinsons Disease, surrounded by family. He was born on July 11, 1943, to his parents Gordon and Anna Marie (Johnson) Lehman.
He was born in New London and was raised on a farm in Bear Creek. He graduated from Bear Creek High School and went on to work at Concrete Pipe and then to Nash Finch until his retirement. He married his high school sweetheart, Millie Klegin, on July 11, 1964. Together they raised 5 children.
Dick loved to spend time with the family at their cottage in Manawa. He enjoyed fishing, cutting wood, and being around the campfire which he kept going all day. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play their sporting events. He liked to play games with family including Sheepshead, Bingo and Yahtzee.
He is survived by his wife Millie, children: Jodie (Bruce) Schmidt, Jill (Manny II) Johnson, Shelly (Dan) Bartlett, Rick (Liz) Lehman, Niki (Adam) Pavlovich; grandchildren: Samantha (Josh) Dutscheck, Sydney (Ross) Waters, Manny III (Emme) Johnson, Dakota Bartlett, Grace Lehman, Kobe Bartlett, Jackson Lehman, Nathan Pavlovich, John Pavlovich; great grandchildren: Manny IV, Finley, Carson, baby Waters, baby Dutscheck; siblings: Marie Elsholtz, Dave (Shelly) Lehman, Gerald (Joanne) Lehman, Jane (Randy) Kriewaldt, Pat (Rick) Rieck, sister-in-law: Caroline Lehman; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob Lehman, brother-in-law Bob Elsholtz.
There will be an evening visitation on April 22 from 4pm to 6pm with a prayer service starting at 6pm at Wichmann Tri County Chapel, 1592 S Oneida St, Appleton, WI, 54915. There will be a visitation in the morning of April 23 from 9am to 11am with a funeral liturgy starting at 11am at Sacred Heart Parish, 222 E Fremont St, Appleton WI 54915.
Burial will be at a later date at St. Marys Cemetery, Bear Creek, WI.
