Richard A. Thompson

Richard A. Thompson, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning July 27, 2017. Born March 10, 1936, the son of the late Irvin and Edna Thompson and beloved husband of Claudia M. Thompson. Proudly served his country in the US Navy while stationed in Port Lyautey, North Africa. Passion for politics lead him to serve on the Appleton City Council for several years. This kind, caring, joyful, thoughtful man, so nonjudgmental, except when politics were involved! He was known for his classic greeting, always, “Hello Dear Lady” along with a hug.

Military Rites and a celebration of life will be held for Richard this fall. The date and time will be released privately when ready.

How fun it was to know Richard Thompson. May he rest in peace.
