Renee “Nay” Koutnik, Age 51, passed away at Cherry Meadows in Appleton on Saturday, August 29, 2009. She was born in Milwaukee on March 27, 1958 to Marvin and Bernice (Laska) Missall. On September 24, 2003 she married Robert Koutnik. Renee worked at Waverly Beach and Scenic Center Valley for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors, including flowers and birds. She loved cooking. Her favorite hobbies involved crafts and seasonal decorating of her home.

Renee is survived by her husband, Robert; sons: Daniel St. Peter of Shiocton (friend Amber), and Trever (Jenny) Koutnik of Town of Menasha; brothers and sisters: Laura (Norman) Swenson of Racine, Dale (Heidi) Missall of Suring, Mark Missall of Suring, Donna (Kevin) Abel of Menasha and Scott (Amy) Missall of Suring. She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Missall.

The memorial service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida St., Appleton, with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Martha Seikman Cancer Center and the nurses of Three South at Appleton Medical Center for their wonderful care.

A memorial fund in Renee's name is being established.
