Obituary

Redlin "Red" C. Beyer, age 91, passed away on May 20, 2026. He was born on May 1, 1935, in Appleton, the son of Carl and Alice Beyer. Redlin enjoyed growing up on the family farm and took pride in his time served in the U.S. Army. He loved working for the phone company, and at one point retired but only for two weeks before going back to work with a friend. Redlin was united in marriage to Janice Heuser on January 13, 1996, and she preceded him in death in 2016.

He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and was always repairing or fixing something. He could truly fix anything. Redlin was funny in a charming way, with many sassy one-liners as his signature. He loved Lani’s dog, Molly, and often called her “Moochkie.” Redlin will be remembered most for his love of family; especially his grandchildren, and spending time at the family cottage on Crooked Lake.

Redlin is survived by his 2 children: Rory Beyer and Lani (Jamie) Hildebrandt; 3 stepchildren: Dale (Jeff Dann) Heuser, Todd (Shelly) Heuser, and Gina (Edward) Mendez; grandchildren: Madeline Hildebrandt, Jade (Travis) Jansen, Skye(Joe) Villalobos, Emma Mendez, Eduardo Mendez Jr., Ashley (Melissa Ross) Heuser, and William Heuser; a sister: Mary (Ron) Traeder; significant other of 8 years: Donna Vanden Heuvel; other relatives and friends.

Redlin was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Funeral services for Redlin will be held at 11AM, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church, 930 E. Florida Ave., Appleton.
